Yes, Crik-IT allows for up to 10 quantity breaks which you will upload to Crik-IT from an Excel spreadsheet. Here's how it works.
- Once we have enabled this feature for you, quantity pricing info can be uploaded from an Excel spreadsheet. Here's a picture of a sample pricing spreadsheet:
- If Crik-IT sees that quantity pricing was not uploaded for a specific item and price list ID (i.e. price level), Crik-IT uses the regular pricing from QuickBooks.
- If Crik-IT sees that quantity pricing was uploaded for a specific item and price list ID (i.e. price level), Crik-IT uses the price from the spreadsheet. And, Crik-IT will show a link on the Details-Item grid when entering a new line on an order; the link can be clicked to see the volume pricing info (i.e. quantity breakpoints and related prices).
- Here's what the order entry looks like for an item for which there is volume pricing - notice the Qty$ link:
-
- When the Qty$ link is clicked, here's what shows:
-
- When the user changes the order quantity, Crik-IT automatically updates the price with the appropriate price based on the quantity. In-house and rep users can then change the price, if desired; customer users cannot change the price:
- QuickBooks Online users: if you don't have special pricing for a customer set up in Crik-IT as described here, when entering your volume pricing in the spreadsheet, use PriceListID "CI-DEFAULT" (without the quotes); otherwise use the PriceListID you used when uploading the special prices.
- QuickBooks desktop users: if you have customers with no price level assigned, when entering your volume pricing in the spreadsheet, use PriceListID "CI-DEFAULT" (without the quotes) as the prices to be used; otherwise use the Price Level assigned to the customer.
If you would like to use this feature, open a support ticket so we can get your Crik-IT portal configured for this.
Once we have enabled this feature for you, log into Crik-IT as an in-house user and go to the Tools tab. There will now be a button called "Upload Volume Pricing" in the Other Tools section. Click this button and follow the directions that appear on the next page to get your volume prices loaded into Crik-IT.
NOTES
- For QuickBooks Online users:
- Volume pricing is not compatible with Bundle items. Because of the way a bundled item's price is calculated, you must not apply volume pricing to a bundle item. If you do so, unexpected results may occur.
- Component items of a bundle item always use the QuickBooks price. Any special pricing uploaded from a spreadsheet is ignored for component items on a bundle.
- This feature can be used to provide special pricing (i.e. override QuickBooks default prices) for any customer or group of customers, even if volume pricing doesn't apply. You can set up the special pricing and just use SRP01, Cost01, and put 99999999 in the QtyBreak01.
