In many situations, if the information in a field starts with =, +, -, or @, Crik-IT will insert a single quote as the first position.  So, for example, this...

will become this (notice the single quote at the beginning of each of these fields)...

Crik-IT does this because hackers will sometimes put destructive scripts into fields that, when submitted or downloaded, can wreak havoc on computer systems.  Scripting often starts with these characters: =, +, -, or @

To protect our systems and yours, Crik-IT will automatically insert a single quote if a field begins with one of those characters.
