This help document is for in-house users set up as admins. As an in-house user set up as an admin, you can also set permissions for other in-house users and for B2B customer users.
Step 1: Go to Maintain Permissions
Go to the Tools tab and click 'Maintain Permissions'
Step 2: Select the Rep User
Under 'Select User Type ', select 'Rep Users'. Then, select the rep user you want to set permissions for. Note: The reps that appear in this drop-down are already portal users. Click here for how to add rep users.
Step 3: Set Permissions
Section 1: General Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the rep user's access to Dashboards, whether the rep user can convert a lead into a QuickBooks customer, manage contact notes, and more.
Section 2: Customer Tab Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the rep user's default view for certain customer information.
Section 3: Items Tab Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the rep user's access to certain Item information.
Section 4: Reports Tab Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the rep user's access to transaction reports, sales reports, and inventory reports.
Section 5: Tools Tab Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure whether the rep user can reset their B2B customer users' passwords and add B2B customer users.
Section 6: Customer Details Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the rep user's access to customers' invoices tab and order confirmations tab, as well as their default views.
Section 7: Order Entry Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the rep user's permission to create and edit orders, submit orders, change/enter item prices, and see the order header by default or not.
Section 8: Quote Entry Permission (if applicable)
If you use quotes, you'll be able to configure the rep user's quote permissions in this section.
