The Crik-IT portal does not directly access your QuickBooks data. Instead, a piece of software called the Crik-IT Sync Manager (CISM) gets installed on your network. This software reads data from your QuickBooks system and sends it to the CISM cloud, and retrieves information (such as new customer or new sales order) from the CISM cloud and puts it into your QuickBooks system.

So, syncing from QuickBooks to Crik-IT is a two-step process.
For data going from QuickBooks to Crik-IT: First, CISM sends data from your QuickBooks to the CISM cloud. Typically, this happens automatically every 15 minutes. Second, every 30 minutes the Crik-IT portal accesses data from your CISM cloud to bring into the Crik-IT portal. Note that depending on the timing of your CISM sync cycle vs the Crik-IT sync cycle, changes made to your QuickBooks data will show up in Crik-IT anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes after those changes are made in QuickBooks .
For data going from Crik-IT to QuickBooks: First, within 3 minutes of an order being submitted in Crik-IT or a lead being converted to a customer in Crik-IT, that new order or customer will be sent to your CISM cloud. Second, your CISM software looks for new orders or customers in the CISM cloud (by default, this happens every 5 minutes; if it finds a new order or customer, it downloads that and puts it into your QuickBooks. Note that depending on the timing of your CISM sync cycle vs the Crik-IT sync cycle, new orders or customers created in Crik-IT will show up in your QuickBooks system within 5 to 8 minutes.
Note: CISM uses the QBSDK, a tool provided by Intuit for 3rd party apps to use, to read from and write to your QuickBooks system.
