If orders submitted in Crik-IT are taking a long time to appear in your QuickBooks, or if changes you make in QuickBooks aren't appearing in Crik-IT, make sure that a "modal dialog window" is not open in QuickBooks.
A "modal dialog window" is the kind where the QuickBooks user interface is requiring the user to Ok/Close the existing box and clicking anywhere else in the QB interface (without closing the modal dialog box first) causes an audible "beep". This is typically a question or some type of acknowledgment screen (Are you sure you want to delete this transaction? or something similar), or the Edit Preferences window, or the Edit Company Information window, or the Product Information window... that sort of thing.
When QuickBooks is showing a modal dialog window, CISM will not be able to access your QuickBooks system. Orders submitted in Crik-IT won't be able to be sent to your QuickBooks. Changes made in your QuickBooks won't be sent up to Crik-IT. CISM is essentially locked out until the modal dialog window(s) are closed.
As a general practice, it's a good idea to have your QuickBooks users respond immediately when a modal dialog window is open.
Note that even if your CISM is installed on a server that no one uses, QuickBooks sometimes opens a modal dialog window without you being aware of it. So, make sure you check your server for any open dialog windows too. TIP: to minimize this happening, on the CISM machine you can configure QuickBooks to turn off pop-up marketing messages:
