Crik-IT can allow you to accept Credit Card payments for all or individual customers. To use this feature, you need to contact us here at Crik-IT and we will enable it for you. Then:
1) After we have enabled this feature, you need to connect your Crik-IT to the Stripe credit card processing service. Crik-IT uses Stripe to provide secure, compliant merchant services.
2) After you have connected Crik-IT to your Stripe account, you then need to tell Crik-IT which of your customers can make credit card payments in Crik-IT.
This article covers the first step.
OK, let's dig in....
To start the process, login to the Crik-IT portal as an in-house user, then click on the Tools tab.
Look under the Other Tools section. Do you see a Stripe Payment Configuration button? If not, you need to be given permission for that feature. Click here to see how to do that.
Scroll down to the Other Tools section and click the Stripe Payment Configuration button:
You have come to the Stripe Credit Card Configuration page. The first thing you need to do is to connect your Stripe account with your Crik-IT subscription. Don't have a Stripe account? No worries... you'll be able to set one up. So now, click the Connect with Stripe blue button:
Note: Crik-IT now sends you to the Stripe website so you can connect your Stripe account to Crik-IT.
If you don't already have a Stripe account, you will be taken to the Stripe Application page. Once the application is completed, hit the Authorize access to this account button.
If you do already have a Stripe account, you will be able to login using your Stripe credentials, then click the Connect my Stripe account button.
Once you have connected your Stripe account to Crik-IT, you'll be sent back to the Stripe Credit Card Configuration page, now showing new options (see screenshot below). Here you should check the box to allow credit card payments, then specify whether payments will be in US or Canadian dollars.
Other options showing on that page but not necessary for the initial configuration are:
- For your convenience, we provide a shortcut for you to open a new tab to get to your Stripe account dashboard. If you aren't currently logged into your Stripe account, you'll be prompted to log in before getting to your Stripe dashboard.
- Also, if you decide you no longer want to accept credit cards in Crik-IT, there is a link at the bottom of the page to disconnect your Stripe account from Crik-IT.
Congratulations! You've completed the first step toward accepting credit card payments in Crik-IT!
Next, you'll need to tell Crik-IT which of your customers can make credit card payments. Click here to learn how to do that.
