Want only some of your QuickBooks items to be sent to Crik-IT? Here's how to do that.
First, you need to tell Crik-IT how to identify which items should go to Crik-IT.
- Get to the Crik-IT Configuration menu.
- Log into the Crik-IT app using your administrator username... this is usually the username you used when you originally used when signing up for Crik-IT for QuickBooks.
- Click on the Tools tab.
- Click on the Crik-IT Config Menu button. It may take a minute for the configuration menu to appear.
- From the Crik-IT Configuration menu, click the Item Configuration button. Here's the screen that will appear.
- Make your selections:
- If you want all your QuickBooks products to show in Crik-IT, select the first option.
- If you want Crik-IT to only bring items from QuickBooks if the item has a custom field called "ItemToCrikIT" set to "Yes", choose the second option.
- If you only have a few items that should NOT go to Crik-IT, it is probably easiest to choose the third option to tell Crik-IT to only bring over items that have the "ItemToCrikIT" custom field set to "No".
- When you have finished making your selections, make sure you click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
- Next, set up the ItemToCrikIT custom field on your QuickBooks items, and set it to the appropriate value based on which items you want to bring to or exclude from Crik-IT.
- If you chose the second option above, then put "Yes" in the ItemToCrikIT custom field for all items you want to have show in Crik-IT.
- If you chose the third option above then put "No" in the ItemToCrikIT custom field for all items you do NOT want to have show in Crik-IT.
- After making the changes in QuickBooks, your next CISM sync will send those changes to your CISM cloud. After that happens, you can go to the next step to force a full sync of your items to Crik-IT from your CISM cloud.
- When ready, you should re-sync your item data with Crik-IT:
- From the Crik-IT Configuration menu, click on the "Sync Your Data" button.
- Click the blue link that says "Let me choose what to sync (use only if Crik-IT support staff says to)".
- Click the "Sync Item Data" button.
When the sync completes, go back to Crik-IT. You should now see only the items you requested.
