This article is designed to show you how the Inventory Available Detail report works and how it can help you better manage your inventory as well as your orders. Click here for a short video.
This report is designed to help you track allocated inventory in detail. Access this report by going to the Reports tab and clicking on the Inventory Available Detail report.
You can filter this report by item number, by product line, and sort by either the requested ship date of an order, or by order date.
This report also takes into account the way you configured your Track Allocated Inventory feature in the Tools tab. Click here to learn more.
Using the various filter options you can configure this report to show the following:
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, and available, of all inventory items, from all product lines; sorted by requested ship date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, and available, of all inventory items, from a selected product line; sorted by requested ship date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, and available, of a specific inventory item; sorted by requested ship date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, and available, of all inventory items, from all product lines; sorted by order date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, and available, of all inventory items, from a selected product line; sorted by order date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, and available, of a specific inventory item; sorted by order date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, on unsubmitted portal orders, and available, of all inventory items, from all product lines; sorted by requested ship date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, on unsubmitted portal orders, and available, of all inventory items, from a selected product line; sorted by requested ship date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, on unsubmitted portal orders, and available, of a specific inventory item; sorted by requested ship date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, on unsubmitted portal orders, and available, of all inventory items, from all product lines; sorted by order date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, on unsubmitted portal orders, and available, of all inventory items, from a selected product line; sorted by order date.
- The quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, on unsubmitted portal orders, and available, of a specific inventory item; sorted by order date.
This report can show you not only the quantity on hand, on QuickBooks estimates, on unsubmitted portal orders, and available for one or multiple items (depending on how you configure the Track Allocated Inventory feature) but also shows you where and to whom the item(s) are committed, and by how much.
Note that the Track Allocated Inventory feature calculates for items that are labeled as inventory in your QuickBooks.
If you see a message on your report that reads: "*On QBO Estimates quantity not equal to the total of the QuickBooks Estimate detail lines. This is most likely because of a recently submitted portal order. This will be resolved the next time your QuickBooks data syncs to the portal, usually within 15 minutes" and the message still appears on the report after 15 minutes, click here.
