Want to have different prices for different customers? We have you covered!
Step 1: Assign a Price Level to Your Customers
Assign a price level/ price list code to the customers you wish to set special pricing for in the Customer Notes in QuickBooks, like so: 'PriceList: PricelistName.'
Add the 'PriceList: PricelistName.' in the Customer Notes by drilling down into the customer and clicking the pencil icon next to Notes. This will open the Customer screen and allow you to enter your price list information in the Notes. Make sure you click on Save.
Important note: The period at the end is important, as it tells Crik-IT when to stop looking at the price list name.
Step 2: Fill Out Your Price List Spreadsheet
Start by downloading the pre-formatted pricing spreadsheet from Crik-IT. Go to the Tools tab and click Upload Pricelist (under Other Tools).
There, download the pre-formatted pricing spreadsheet. The spreadsheet contains the instructions you must follow for Crik-IT to map your custom pricing. Below are the instructions:
- Do not delete or change row 1. Do not add or change the columns.
- Rows 2 through 4 show sample data. Before entering your own price list info, delete the sample data.
- In the VendorSKU column, enter the Item Name exactly as it appears in QuickBooks. (see the image below)
- You don't need to enter the item description; Crik-IT will map this automatically.
- Enter the item's standard SRP in the SRP column.
- Enter the item's cost in the Cost column. This will be your customer's cost for this item.
- In the PricelistID column, enter the price list name exactly as it appears between 'PriceList:' and the period in the QuickBooks Customer Notes. (So for our example, you would enter Gold in the PricelistID column).
- Repeat this process for each item priced differently under each of your price lists/price levels. Note: An item should appear on the spreadsheet as many times as it is priced differently across price lists/levels.
Item Name = Vendor SKU
Step 3: Upload Your Price List Spreadsheet into Crik-IT
Go to the Tools tab and click Upload Pricelist (under Other Tools). See above
There, click 'Choose file' and then the 'Upload Price List' button.
You can use the 'Click here to see your price list currently in Crik-IT' button to view your uploaded pricing.
