Companies that need to track lot numbers often have to quickly find all sales made for a particular lot number. QuickBooks does not track lot numbers, but some Crik-IT subscribers have used this as a work-around.
When entering an invoice or estimate in QuickBooks (or an order in Crik-IT), if an item on the invoice should have lot number(s) associated with it, you can enter that in the line description, like this:
In Crik-IT, you can run the sales history report to see all invoices within a specific date range containing that lot number. Here's how you would run this report:
First, from the Reports tab, click on Sales History Report:
Next, complete the report option grid. See example below:
This will print a report with all invoice lines that meet the criteria entered in the report option grid, like this:
Important note:
By default, Crik-IT contains between 1 and 4 years of invoice history, depending on which Crik-IT package you subscribe to. If you need more or less invoice history in Crik-IT, contact us to discuss.
