Crik-IT has shipment tracking built in. Follow these steps to enable this feature.
- Log into Crik-IT as a Crik-IT Administrator.
- Go to the Tools tab.
- Click on "Crik-IT / QuickBooks Config Menu". Note, if this button does not show, your username is not set up with Administrator permissions.
- Click the "Other Configuration" button.
- Go to the Shipment Tracking section at the bottom of the page. Click "Yes, we want to use Shipment Tracking" and click the Save & Return button. Follow the instructions that appear regarding how to use this feature.
From now on, Crik-IT's syncing program will look at invoices coming to Crik-IT from QuickBooks. If the Ship Via on an invoice contains ABF, Canada Post, Central Freight, DATS, Dayton, DHL, Estes, FedEx, Federal Express, NEMF, Old Dom, Old Dominion, Purolator, Roadway, SAIA, UPS, US Mail, USPS, Yellow, YRC, or XPO.
Crik-IT then looks for tracking numbers for that invoice. There are two options -- use one option or the other for any specific invoice:
- If you have the "Shipping" option turned on in the QuickBooks Online Sales settings, there will be a Tracking Number textbox on the invoice in QuickBooks. You can put the tracking number in there.
- Or, if you do not have the "Shipping" option turned on in the QuickBooks Online Sales settings, or if you want to enter more than one tracking number, you can enter a line on the invoice with item code "TrackingNumber", then put the tracking number(s) in the description for that line. Multiple tracking numbers must be separated by a comma or space.
