PO Number on QuickBooks transactions created by Crik-IT
- By default, the Crik-IT Order Reference number goes to the QuickBooks estimate or invoice as the PO Number. It's a strange thing: QuickBooks does have a PO number that is visible to developers, but it doesn't appear to be used anywhere in QuickBooks itself. Don't ask us why! In the hopes that QuickBooks starts using that field someday, we do send the Crik-IT order reference number to that field.
- In addition, we also send the Crik-IT order reference number to QuickBooks as a note in the Memo field. It also appears on the "Message displayed on statement" when editing the transaction in QuickBooks.
- Optional (requires modification): If you have set up a custom field in QuickBooks for PO Number, we can customize your Crik-IT to send either the Crik-IT order reference number or the Crik-IT order customer reference to the custom field. Currently, only three of the QuickBooks custom fields are accessible by 3rd party apps, like Crik-IT. So, if you have more than three custom fields (including inactive custom fields), contact us to determine if we can access your PO number custom field.
QuickBooks Transaction Number (i.e. sales order number or invoice number)
- By default, Crik-IT has QuickBooks automatically create the QuickBooks estimate (or invoice) number.
- Optionally, we can configure your Crik-IT to send the Crik-IT order reference number, prefaced with "C-" (or whatever you would like the preface to be), to QuickBooks as the transaction number. See this help document for more information about this. If you would prefer this option, contact us at support@crik-it.com and ask us to set this up for you.
