General Information
- Crik-IT orders are always tied to a customer. For a help document on converting a lead into a customer, click here.
- Crik-IT order reference numbers are assigned sequentially by default. If you wish to enter order reference numbers manually, please get in touch with us at support@crik-it.com.
- Once a Crik-IT order is submitted, it cannot be edited.
Order Entry Options
Start by going to your Customers Tab.
Option 1: By clicking the new order icon, you'll be taken to the main order entry page.
Option 2: Click on the customer name. You'll be taken to the customer details page. From there, click on new order. You'll be taken to the main order entry page.

The screen will be similar to the one shown below. What appears will depend on how your portal has been configured.
Reference #

Email this order to your customer?
This only shows for reps and management users.
Check the "Email the order to your customer" checkbox if you'd like a copy of the order to be sent to your customer when the order is submitted.
Note: You can edit the customer email on orders.
If you want to send to multiple email addresses for your customer, enter them in the Customer's Email address area, separated with a semicolon (;).
Header & Ship-To
Depending on how your portal has been configured, the Header Info and Ship To sections either do or do not appear by default.
You can toggle showing and hiding those sections by clicking "Show Header" or "Hide Header".
Tip: Crik-IT administrators can automatically configure this for each user from the Tools tab, Maintain Permissions page, in the Order Entry Permissions section.
Please note: You must enter a Ship To address to submit an order.

Item View
You can select whether you'd like items to be displayed in a grid view or in a list by clicking on either icon next to the search bar.
Search products
You can use this search bar to find any item your customer can purchase.
As you type, Crik-IT automatically searches the item name and description fields, looking for the characters you type. All relevant items will appear in the list or grid view below.
You'll also see the price this customer pays for each item.
Depending on how your portal is configured, you'll see or won't see the items' available quantity.
Click the Add button to add an item to the order.
Categories
- QuickBooks Online users: If you use QuickBooks Online item categories, your item categories will appear in this section.
- QuickBooks Desktop users: If you wish to categorize your items and have those categories appear in Crik-IT, click this help document. If you set this up, your item categories will appear in this section.
Clicking on the category name will display the items belonging to that category.
Order
This section shows what is currently on your order.
Click the + sign to increase an item's quantity on the order, or click the - sign to reduce the item quantity. To remove an item from the order altogether, click the trash icon.
You'll see the item unit cost on the left-hand side, and the total item line cost on the right-hand side.
Order Review Page: Review Your Order
When you're ready to review your order, click on Review Order.
Review order details before submission
There you'll find the order details, including: the order reference number, the customer information, the req ship date, the customer email (if you're sending a copy to the customer), the order contact info under 'Prepared by', any customer info or notes, as well as ship to details.
Order Items
There you'll be able to see all the items on the order, along with the item description, the item quantity on the order for each item, the unit price the customer pays for each item, and the total for each item line.
You can increase an item quantity by clicking on the up arrow in the quantity field, or decrease an item quantity by clicking on the down arrow in the quantity field.
If you have permission to edit the unit price for an item, you'll be able to do so in the unit price field.
Print/Preview & Submit Order
Click Print/Preview to view your order form. This is the copy of the order that will be sent to your order desk email (link to help doc), and to your customer if applicable.
From there, you can also submit your order by clicking on the red 'Submit Order' button.
Or, click the green Submit Order button at the bottom of the page to submit your order.
Once your order is submitted, it will be sent to your QuickBooks System. Click here for a help document on sync frequency.
