This help document is for in-house users set up as admins. As an in-house user set up as an admin, you can also set permissions for other in-house users and for rep users.
Step 1: Go to Maintain Permissions
Go to the Tools tab and click 'Maintain Permissions'
Step 2: Select the Customer User
Under 'Select User Type ', select 'Customer Users'. Then, select the customer user you want to set permissions for. Note: The customers that appear in this drop-down are already portal users. Click here for how to add customer users.
Step 3: Set Permissions
Section 1: Main Page Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the customer user's access to sales graphs, their status (from QuickBooks), their available credit, and the balance they currently owe you.
Section 2: Items Tab Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the customer user's access to certain Item information.
Section 3: Order Entry Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the customer user's permission to create and edit orders, submit orders, and see the order header by default or not.
Section 4: Orders Entered in Portal Tab Permissions
In this section, you'll be able to configure the customer user's permission to see orders' confirmation status, whether they can see and click on the confirmation hyperlink, whether they see the customer info entered on orders, notes entered on orders, and the requested ship date.
