This article goes over how to configure the inventory information your customers see in their Crik-IT portal.
Item Quantity/Availability
Start by going in the Tools tab and clicking on Crik-IT / QuickBooks Configuration Menu.
A pop up message will appear at the top of the screen, click on "OK".
This will take you to the "Crik-IT for QuickBooks Configuration App" page. There, click on "Item Configuration".
There you will see a checkbox that reads "Available quantity numbers for your items will always show for your reps and in-house users. We also want to show our customers available stock information (either actual numbers or text)".
If you checkmark this checkbox, two options will appear on screen.
If you choose "They should see 'Available' or 'Call us' instead of quantity" you will also see a line of text below that reads What quantity is the threshold for showing 'Available' rather than 'Call Us'? with a number underneath.
Note: if you prefer to use different verbiage than "Available" and "Call Us", let us know. We can configure your portal to use different wording.
This number indicates the threshold that determines whether an item shows up as available or not. So, for example, if you set this to 15, your customers will see "Call us" next to any item that is below 15 in quantity; and, your customers will see "Available" next to any item that is above 15 in quantity.
This also applies when viewing the catalogue.
The other option is "They should see actual quantity".
If you select "They should see actual quantity" then your customers will see exact inventory quantities in numeric value.
This also applies when viewing the catalogue.
Other Inventory Information
Go to to the Tools tab, in Maintain Permissions, to set other inventory permissions, such as the permission to see the status of items; permission to see a 'Link to Product Page' in the items tab; permission to see items SRP; and items' cost.
This is what the Items tab looks like for a customer who is given all the permissions seen in the image above. (There is no 'Link to Product Page' configured in this example, so the column is empty)
This is what the Items tab looks like for a customer who is given none the permissions seen in the image above.
